Today’s cartoon is a celebration of spring. From Locksley Hall:

In the Spring a young man’s fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love~ Alfred Lord Tennyson.

But  before the young man mentioned in the poem, Tennyson writes about robins and lapwings. I’m a big birdwatcher, AND a relationship watcher, so spring flirtations, whether fowl or human, are the impetus for this cartoon.

How couples meet, and how the courtship progresses is endlessly fascinating. How does one become two, anyway? Or, in this case, become 5 or 6.

I guess it works if you believe in love at first sight.
