You know it’s spring when…Trader Joe’s daffodils are $1!

Or, $1.29. Still a fave.

The LA Times had a nice article on wildflowers, and how if you turn your car in the right direction, you, too, might find yourself falling in love, in the canyons, in the deserts, in the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve. (Oh, how L. Frank Baum would have loved this.)

Well, I haven’t gone to any of these places yet, though I’d like to. Maybe I’m in the wrong kind of crowds. But I did get up from my chair, walked down the block, and saw a few I liked.
