Eek! Silver Lake is poisoned, and now it will be drained!

Well, they found out about the poison part way back when, on December 15 2007, as Blogging LA reported, (there are some interesting comments and research there,) and I’d be willing to assign blame, but it was just a nature thing: too much sun, not enough rain.

And now it will be drained off, in a tortuously slow way, reports Curbed LA. Everyone is looking forward to what they find at the bottom. (there are some low-class sexual comments about this at the link, just fyi.)

Many people are concerned about the poison just being pushed over into the ocean. Valid, I guess, but what concerns me more is what will happen to my beautiful future landscape photos, with no lake…:) Just kidding. Poor ocean.

Rest assured, I’ll continue to run around the lake when I get my a## in gear, and I will let everyone know if it starts to smell funny as the lake gets lower.
