Kaiser: the often evil HMO in California

I know something about HMOs, and none of it’s good. Thus, this cartoon.

(Kaiser Permanente is the biggest HMO in the country…and also the worst. If you only knew how many grievances and complaints I’ve filed…and not won any of them, even with detailed proof! Infuriating! They started the phrase, Profits over People.

Here, an ex-Kaiser ophthalmologist discusses Kaiser from a doctor’s point of view:

Lastly, remember that in the Kaiser model, services are prepaid, so there is no financial incentive to provide medial care.  In fact, there is incentive to providing less medical care, because the less care Kaiser gives, the more money Kaiser keeps.  While each visit in private practice generates revenue, each non-visit at Kaiser generates revenue.

Kaiser makes money by making sure you don’t get treatments or appointments. They really love Covid, since apparently no one knows what to do about it, and even if you have a vaccine, they don’t want you to come in!

You might not need a lawyer to  get out of the Kaiser hell hole for your health insurance, but in case you do…Here’s how to buy this or any law cartoon for powerpoint, law journals, newsletters, books, etc.

ID #n3131d        Caption: Hank, I’m thinking of severing myself and my family from our HMO. Do you foresee any violence from this? (Caption could also be: Do you foresee any fallout from this?) [Businessman talks to his attorney in the law office.]
