The rich pay most of California’s state taxes.

Where do most California Taxes come from?

All Jerry Brown’s tax plans mean higher taxes, of course. But I hadn’t known so much of the revenue income (state taxes) in California is paid by so few earners here! The top 1% of tax earners give us almost half of our revenue needed to keep the state alive. Yay for the rich people!

No one wants taxes, but the Libertarians hate them especially. Keep your hands out of my wallet!

But you know what Liberals hate and Libertarians love? Rich people. I love them, too! And so long as we ARE taxed, seems like they can afford to pay tax, too…considering they also get business expense write-offs that the rest of us can only dream about. So I thought this cartoon might help the truth go down with a little humor.

From my weekly cartoon feature on California news & politics. Try out this California cartoon for powerpoint, state journals, newsletters, blogs, books, etc. Details here.

ID #120402        Caption: (dog watches man read article in the Wall Street Journal) The top 1% in California pay 1/3 to 1/2 of all state revenue. (dog thinks out loud, the 1%…that’s the part the liberals hate…) Man prays: Rich folk, please don’t leave. And damn Jerry Brown & his higher tax.

PS. It looks like only half the cartoon is here. What happened to the other half??
