DWP Commissioners are not like you and me.
I sent this letter off yesterday in an email form on the DWP website, as they don’t have any phone or emails listed.
Comments/Questions:
The subject line is too short. I also think it’s unacceptable to have a board that is accountable to the city WITH NO EMAIL OR PHONE.Please read my blog www.donnabarstow.com/park_blog
/ about what DWP is not doing in and for Silver Lake. They are in charge of the water, and they are selfishly holding onto it like a pre-schooler holding onto a toy. They are also throwing questionable plastic into the drinking water (for only half the customers) and calling it a day. To the tune of $1 million.
Look forward to hearing from you.

There are 5 DWP commissioners, starting with Nick Patsaouras as President. The assistant there was helpful and patient, so I won’t list her name, but she said the Commissioners only come in every 2 weeks! This is more acceptable when you consider they are all volunteers (appointed by mv), but still…is that enough oversee for the whole city of LA?
The commissioners are supposed to make sure the DWP is doing the job right; but the council members (like Eric Garcetti (213) 473-7013 or Tom LaBonge at (213) 485-3337 ) can still overturn actions adopted by the DWP. So even though in all the articles I read it looks like the DWP is overshadowing the council guys, it’s not true! Garcetti and LaBonge are just as, or even more so, responsible for this neighborhood drought!
