Never thought I would do a Physiognomy cartoon…
When I drew this dogface catface cartoon, I wasn’t really thinking about whether I, personally, prefer cats or dogs. I grew up with both, and a couple of other animals, too. As it turns out, I do prefer dogs, but I like men with cat faces. 🙂
Hearsay is that animals grow to look like their owners – or vice versa. And same with husband and wife – their faces become similar, probably from looking at the other person all day. (Have you ever noticed you start to make faces or expressions – frown, concentration, sadness – like other people you spend a lot of time with? Maybe it’s just me.)
But when one is a catface, and one a dogface…I don’t know how that would end up.
Here’s how to buy this or any Animal or Pet cartoon for powerpoint, magazines, advertising, newsletters, blogs, textbooks, Chicken Soup books, etc,
ID # 163rd Caption: It could never work out, Bruce…you’re a cat person, and I’m a dog person. (man with cat face is proposing, with ring, to woman with dog face) No masks necessary!

Very recently, I saw a New Yorker cartoon with the exact caption, but illustrated by a different artist. I hope they bought the caption from you, instead of stealing it.
