Book titles for amusement

Some might think this cartoon is a reference to a book by Dr. Suess: his The Cat in the Hat.

Did I just get the title wrong? No. This is really a takeoff on a New York Times bestseller book by a neurologist, Dr. Oliver Sacks, called The Man Who Mistook his Wife for a Hat.

I write more about this cartoon, and the book in my PsychCentral column, but briefly, it’s a collection of case studies from Dr Sacks’s files, on patients with neurological problems. I feel sorry for the title man in this non-fiction book. I read, and liked it for the most part, if you can “enjoy” minds that have short-circuited. But I thought, let me improve this. Thus, this cartoon.

New Yorker style

This is a typically obscure New Yorker cartoon, especially because of the crumbly wash, not to mention their obsession with cats, (Hi, Sam Gross,) but I like it anyway. 😉
