A basic restaurant name draws attention.

cartoon man doesn't like snobby restaurant

I went to sign school

Can you tell from the lettering on the window? We had a great teacher from Pasadena Art Center and we learned to appreciate handsome  and well-considered fonts. 🙂  This current WordPress theme I’m using as I write this — Ascetica — was my pick,  because of his judicious choices and placement of the lettering.

UPDATED: must get new theme. The story of WordPress blogging.

As for the cartoon, most restaurants don’t have pretentious names, but this one — Food — is plainer than most. I’ve actually seen restaurants with this sign — I think it was in NYC! And we all appreciate businesses who deliver what they promise. Being funny is a plus.

From my weekly cartoon feature, Daily Special. You can order new restaurant cartoons delivered to you each week!
