Choosing movies based on the ending.

tragedies are for crybabies
Dvds are either comedies or for crybabies

Old cartoons

I’m trying to be positive, so I shall call them Nostalgic Cartoons. 🙂 Meaning, they are about living in the past.

There aren’t any video stores anymore (are there?) but this is the updated cartoon version of the comedy-tragedy masks in dramatic plays, applied to movies. (And being a theater buff since I was a child, yes, I’ve done many other cartoons with versions of these masks, too!)

Maybe Netflix could take a hint for naming categories on their channel guides…

I definitely prefer comedies to tragedies, but no one even makes tragedies any more, do they? Redone Hamlet? They’re so depressing. Anyway, everyone knows horror films are the best.

Barron’s recently bought this cartoon. I’m so lucky to have a smart editor there who shares some of my quirky humor — it’s not just conference tables in Barron’s anymore!
