		<description>There just isn&#039;t enough written on the subject of modern foodie obsessions and the animal cruelty that ensues. Thank you for posting this. Between the trendoid paleos, neo-hunter-gatherers, and urban homesteaders, there&#039;s a callousness that seems to permeate these 20-30-something endeavors. I&#039;m disheartened and disgusted by what I see. What has happened to us? These people will rationalize their actions, saying it makes them feel vital, closer to their food. But somewhere in their superficial quest for authenticity, another being suffers. It&#039;s just tragic. And I appreciate your addressing it in any form.</description>
