Gray hair and the loss of your innocence.

Beauty in your mirror and your hairbrush

Remember what you did to save Tinkerbell, in Peter Pan? You clapped your hands, and she lived. I think the woman in this cartoon needs to clap her hands hard.

It really is upsetting to find your first gray hair(s). Now you will always have to do something extra to stay beautiful and not look old. I think it’s easier for women who have already played with coloring their hair, tried out as a blonde, etc. It’s a beauty exercise for them, not a look in the mirror at your own mortality.

I remember how shocked I was to find out my stepmother dyed her hair, and I swore I never would do such a FAKE thing. Sigh. There goes another promise to myself. But I use wash out color, so does that count? 🙂

Even though this cartoon isn’t in color, I just know the woman speaking is a redhead, and looks beautiful, even so.
