About Daily Special
Daily Special is the only cartoon in the country about cooking and dining! It has been refreshing readers in The Los Angeles Times, Salt Lake Tribune, Philadelphia Daily News, Aspen, Albany, Minneapolis Star Tribune, etc for over 10 years!

And because some people have questioned whether I am cool or not, let me just say that it also runs in Nashville Scene, Flagpole, Reader, etc, alternatives all, so I am indeed on the cool side.

My cartoon blog, Why I did it, talks about why I ....do this.

I both write and draw these droll cartoons, some of which also appear in magazines such as Culinary Trends, Mr. Food's Easy Cooking, and Texas Restaurants. They run often in the IACP newsletter and regional cooking newsletters..

This is a weekly feature, so I email a month's worth at a time, in high-res, about 5" square, so it looks crisp and sharp in print.

Then you pay me.

Aliens always know where the best diners are.

I was the contract cartoonist for Weight Watchers Magazine (circ. 1.5 million) last year, because “we like your attitude towards women and food!”

I'm also in over 200 other magazines and papers, including The New Yorker, Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review. My main website is HERE.

Daily Special doesn't just sit in the comics section! It's a lively, HARDWORKING, sophisticated cartoon feature on everyone's favorite pastime, food and eating out, and makes it an adventure. Going out to eat is important business for a lot of hungry people!
I don't mention names of specific restaurants, but focus on the humorous side of the food, service, staff, and the lucky folks who get to dine there.

Daily Special:
* Appeals to those fickle youngsters!
* Pops the section with a positive slant that both readers and restaurant owners like!
* Adds a really great graphic to break up a page with lots of similar looking listings or capsule reviews!
* Daily Special is funny and sassy, and easily pulls its own weight.
* Isn't that expensive if you tell me how much you like it!

my pot of gold - don't touchHaven't you always wanted your own cartoon? Rates are varied, and unusually satisfying. Ask. BOOKS!
Family Circle (circ. 4 million) picked my first book,
"What Do Women REALLY Want? Chocolate!" as their Book of the Month!! The esteemed cookbook author Rose Levy Beranbaum, wrote the sassy foreword. And a chef on QVC has asked me to do cartoons for his next cookbook.
