"What's up, toots?"
"Ooh, ooh, my book!"
"What Do Women REALLY Want? Chocolate! Is that what you want?"
"That's so last year. Now it's love, sweet love, in every flavor...."

Hot Right Now! August, 2008

Yes, I actually do have a cartoon blog up now, here!
I analyze cartoons, make some comments about how I drew them or what I was thinking, or why I wasn't thinking...and now open for your comments. Be gentle!

I'm in Parade now! (not in A parade, just in thousands of newspapers)
Yup, the one in everyone's Sunday paper. After over 25 years of the same old same old, Parade Magazine decided to do a little updating and I'm one of the "stars"...As you can see in the paper, it's kinda like a popularity contest: they ask readers to write in to
cartoons@parade.com to give feedback on the cartoonists. Who doesn't love a survey? I just hope readers also love me...

Someone has a crush on me in Italy!
Well, or something. Anyway, such a fantastic art spot, with really talented artists, how could I resist? Check it out.

I added a Linkey-love page!
Talking about love...Here. Now you know. The Un-Links page is my dark side, and the Links page is my....sweet side. Yeah.

Another fun, but gone Gig!
I was the cartoonist for the Los Angeles Times Sunday Magazine, named West, last year. My feature was called Fault Lines (and there it is on their website, too!) and riffs on plastic surgery, plastic people, adorable actors, famous dogs, hot town, summer in the city (and the beach), and SoCal doings. (Love and chocolate are highlighted.) It's sad, really: my editor left, and then I was gone. Complain here: readersrep@latimes.com. Or whine, whichever you do best.

Bookings
My newest book is out now!! ( 'cause they moved it up for lovers everywhere!) called Love Me or Go to Hell! True Love Cartoons in Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Borders, and every other bookstore in the universe. I'm the editor and do a hell of a lot of the cartoons, all about dating, men, and love sweet love. By Andrews McMeel. I'm so proud to say that it also includes cartoons by Liza Donnelly (The New Yorker), Anne Gibbons (greeting card fashionista), Stephanie Piro (extraordinary, and she draws lotsa feet, too), and Lynn Williams, a rare treat. The esteemed Barbara De Angelis wrote the forward.

UPDATE: It's already sold out to all the stores, so it's in a second printing already!

And my first book, What Do Women REALLY Want? Chocolate! is still so very popular!

(And so handy for home-schooling your seal!)

My other, Griffith Park, Interrupted, is ooh, so snarky about LA politicians, pollution, and fire. And arson and firefighters.. The LA Times CNN, others, link to me, yay. We get a little heated...

Amazon Honor System

All righty now!

I was just interviewed by a newspaper for my expertise on women and chocolate. Gee, that was hard, NOT. Want to ask me anything else?
And I did a radio show in Northern California. I'm a broadcast gal.
