Police pensions in California

Nothing like public pensions to get the arguments started in California politics! I like law enforcement (except for tasers, which are legal torture, and kill your heart a few days later. And except for the LA County Sheriffs who are belligerent assholes), but should they get THAT much money when they retire? Early?

In 2009, in NYC, the average police pension was over $58,000 after 20 years,

which does not include an annual supplement of about $12,000.

Wth?

On the other hand…don’t defund them now!

About the police pension cartoon

Mr. Policeman is friendly to child as he snakes his hand into Mom’s purse. Also: I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream…

The title: Is that a gun in your pocket?….Mae West. I really like how this came out.
