Unlike some New Yorker cartoonists (surprise!) and many more non-New Yorker cartoonists, including syndicated guys, I don’t buy gags. For better or for worse, I write all my own.
However, in this case an exec at a major computer company requested that I do a cartoon about internet startups….before most of us knew anything about Silicon Valley. (At least half the country still didn’t have a computer at that time!) So I tweaked it a little, and who knew, it still makes a perfect point today, when these companies are known as dotcoms.
Here’s how to buy this or any Business cartoon for powerpoint, advertising, newsletters, blogs, textbooks, etc.
